I thought it would never happen…
I was starting to think that I would be pregnant forever…
but now, all of a sudden, he is here.
And I can’t remember life before him.
The trials of a long and difficult pregnancy followed by a fast and difficult labor were quickly forgotten when our 4th child – our 3rd son – was welcomed into the world, into our family, into my arms…
He cries a lot, he poops a lot, he wants to be held all the time, and I’m not sure where to put him when I attempt grocery shopping with 4 kids by myself…and I love every beautiful, wonderful, difficult ounce of him.
He is deeply loved, not because of what he brings to the table or because of his health or because he is an “easy baby.” Rather, he is cherished because he was designed, crafted, and deemed worthy…by his God. And then he was given to us to watch over.
Oh fourth child, what a gift you are.
We love you forever, Jesse Parker.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face
to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord
lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
