I am just one gigantic borrower.
I borrow other people’s recipes, other people’s homeschooling methods, other people’s potty-training tactics…you name it, I borrow it. 🙂
But what is that quote?…”Imitation is the highest form of flattery.” I am totally flattering a lot of people out there.
But in all seriousness, God has truly gifted some people in areas that I am just, well…not. And these are the people that I “borrow” from.
So I want to share with you a list of blogs that are written by truly extraordinary, gifted people. These are my go-to blogs…I honestly don’t know how I would homeschool, cook, or potty-train my children without them.
Enjoy meeting these great people!

My Favorite Recipe Blog:
The Pioneer Woman
This lady does it all. Not only does she have a cooking show on The Food Network, but she also homeschools, blogs, and lives on a cattle ranch!
Her recipes are absolutely fantastic! I use at least one of her’s a week.
But just a warning…her dishes are not designed for the dieter. 🙂 Oh, but they taste divine!
She is also a hoot! It takes a special person to make every single recipe post hilarious.

My Favorite Encouragement Blog:
Mundane Faithfulness
Kara Tippetts has the joy and peace that I hope to have. She loves Jesus and trusts God’s plan in a way that I truly do not even understand.
And she is dying of cancer.
Please read her blog. Please pray for her and learn from her.
I have never met this lady, but God is using her to show Himself to thousands of other women.
Here is another warning…you will weep. Her story is hard to read. Honestly, it is heartbreaking. She is very honest with her struggles, but her honesty makes the peace God has given her seem even more miraculous.

My Favorite Homeschooling Blog:
Confessions of a Homeschooler
On days when I’m tempted to go sign my kids up for “real” school, I read her blog and am encouraged.
This lady has four young children, is homeschooling them all, and has a fantastic plan.
She offers tons of ideas and resources, and writes and sells her own curriculum. I am currently working through her K4 curriculum with Rudy, and it has been wonderful! I plan to buy her Expedition Earth curriculum when we finish this one.
Her blog has been central to me keeping my sanity in this scary homeschooling adventure. She loves the Lord and offers a lot of encouragement to homeschooling mamas like me out there.

So please join me in borrowing the ideas and thoughts that God has given these remarkable women.

Any other blogs worth reading out there? I would love to find a good parenting one! 🙂
