Lab rats.
Endangered fish.
Cecil the lion.
Trees.
All of these are protected by concerned people. All of these are fought for. All of these have rights to life.
Petitions have been signed and money has been raised and laws have been passed…all in order to preserve something that is precious and valuable in the eyes of the people.
Yes, the rats and fish and lions and trees are precious and valuable. They were made that way by their Creator. But when it comes to that list of precious and valuable lives that are protected by our very government…
“WHAT ABOUT THE BABIES??”.
When a limb is wrongfully ripped off of an ancient Sequoia tree, charges are pressed and major media coverage takes place. When a limb is ripped off one of our unborn American children, the masses nod their heads in approval.
Our unborn American babies need a voice. A voice as strong as the one that enhances the quality of life of lab rats. A voice that proclaims their tiny and fragile lives as even more beautiful and precious than any animal or plant or ecosystem.
I want to add my voice to the growing throng, but it is hard to know what to say or where to start…
How do you convince a government that something disposable in their eyes is actually invaluable? How do you provoke the media to take the side of the weak?
My words may not have much effect on the decisions of the powerful, but there is one Voice that has the power to divide flesh and bone, to turn a heart of stone into a heart of flesh, and to bend the knees of kings.
God’s Word speaks out on behalf of America’s murdered children. It speaks out, and it is my inspiration.
Psalm 22, written by David as he anguishes over the wrongdoing that he suffers on the behalf of his own countrymen, serves as a voice for the millions of babies who have been silenced by their own countrymen.
As a momma of 3 young children and 1 arriving any day, I cannot help but cringe and weep and become furious as I read this Psalm…for I imagine these words would be the ones that, like David, the 50 million aborted babies would have in response to the injustice done to them.
Psalm 22
1. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?
2. O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.
3. Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
…
6. But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people.
7. All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me, they wag their heads.
…
11. Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help.
…
14. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast;
…
16. For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet –
19. But You, O Lord, do not be far off! O You my Help, come quickly to my aid!
…
Read God’s Word, be shaken up and be inspired.
The babies have the ear of God. He hears their cry and sees their blood. And we are either for the precious children or against the precious children.
Please do not keep silent.
